Hi,

Could you tell me where the notes are saved? I'd like to be able to backup all of them.

Thanks.

They're in the 'My Documents' folder, in a file called 'Memento.notes'.

Can you open the Memento.Notes file in any typical word processor (Wordperfect, MS Word, etc)?

You should be able to open it in a word processor - it's just a raw text file.

I wouldn't advise editing it though, as you're likely to screw up the file format and lose all your notes.

But if you want to see the plain text of the notes, it's all in the Memento.notes file, which is just like a .txt file really.

I've used memento for a while but I was never able to open the notes in another application, which I found problematic because I use several different computers.

Perhaps it was the version I was using (1.09). Anyway, do backup if you can because last week I booted my computer and all the notes were gone. The program was still there but the 20 or so notes I had have all disappeared like they never existed (no, show all etc do not work) and the memento.notes file is 1 KB. Why? Who knows. But it sucks, and though I miss my notes program I think I'm moving to something more secure, like pencil and paper, from now on!

Even my Notes disappeared. But the file size is what it used to be before. 15 KB. It is in my 'My Documents' folder.. but still no notes are appearing. How should i restore my notes back ?
