I've put Memento in the startup folder but it won't start automatically. I'm using XP pro.
Thanks.

Does anything actually happen?
What happens if you put Notepad in the startup folder? Does it start when you log on to Windows?

All my other applications in the startup folder start automatically, just not Memento.

What happens when you run Memento from the icon in your Startup group?
i.e. go to Start menu, All Programs, Startup, click on Memento.
(Make sure Memento is not already running before you try this.)

It launches perfectly. Everything else about the program is fine, except autostart.

Hmm...that sounds like some kind of problem with Windows then. If it runs fine from the Startup group, but won't run when you log in to Windows, I suspect Windows is confused about something somewhere.
I've run out of ideas - sorry.

I Will also start off by saying that I love using Memento. It's simple, lightweight, PORTABLE (REALLY Love That), and gets the job done Very Well.
In my main use I run Memento in 'Standalone' mode (as you might of guessed) from a Network Share so as to be accessible from whatever workstation I might be at. I don't move often but when I do it makes life a LOT easier.
Anyway back to the Issue at hand I like to auto start Memento as well but I put a Shortcut to the Application in the Startup folder not the program itself and it works great. You might want to give it a try.
