Standalone mode is invoked when Memento finds the 'Memento.notes' file in the same place as Memento.exe. Otherwise it will look in your 'My Documents' folder for the notes file.
So:
1. Quit Memento
2. Move the Memento.notes file to your 'My Documents' folder
3. Restart Memento
Then Memento will use the notes file from 'My Documents'.
I strongly recommend you take a backup of your Memento.notes file before doing this, though. If you do it in the wrong order, bad things may happen, and humans have an amazing capacity for not following instructions properly :-).
