Any possibility you might add the ability to append the .notes file from another working copy, say memento1.notes, during your one minute write interval, and then reload the updated memento.notes file? This would allow say a secretary to enter notes over the network into a working file that would be updated to the main .notes file every minute. This would also allow for entering notes on a laptop, copying them as say memento1.notes into the memento directory or my documents directory on another computer to update that computer's memento.notes file.
